This Privacy Policy sets out how MAC Innovations NZ Limited (TrustUs, we, us, our) handles personal information that is collected when you (User, you, your) use the TrustUs Service, or the TrustUs website, any related websites or applications operated by TrustUs.
You own your data
Your Personal Data remains yours.
TrustUs is an online system which does not store financial information about an individual as provided or entered by that individual.
TrustUs will only store information that is entered by the Users, at a Users instruction.
The data entered, or imported on instruction, by the Users remains the property of the User and TrustUs will not use nor make available for use any of this information without permission of the User.
You control who has access to your data
It is the User's responsibility to keep their passwords safe. It is the Administrators responsibility to ensure that any Users that are invited to use the account have permission to view the information stored in the TrustUs account.
Information TrustUs collects
TrustUs may obtain personal data from you (Personal Data) as a result of you or another user of the TrustUs Service or the Website:
(a) providing TrustUs with your name, email address, physical address, date of birth, Inland Revenue Department Number, telephone number, payment information and/or other details when an account is created for the TrustUs services;
(b) submitting any information when using the TrustUs service or the Website;
(c) emailing or otherwise contacting us in relation to the TrustUs services or the Website; or
(d) otherwise providing information to us.
If you submit any Personal Data to us that relates to another individual, you must ensure that you have all the necessary consents from that individual to allow us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Use of Personal Data
TrustUs may collect, hold, use and disclose your Personal Data for a number of purposes, including:
(a) to manage, monitor, develop and improve the TrustUs services and the Website;
(b) to contact you about the TrustUs service or the Website;
(c) as part of TrustUs' efforts to keep the Website safe and secure; and
(d) do anything otherwise required or permitted by law.
Disclosure
We will not share your Personal Data with third parties except:
(a) as required for the preparation of the Deed of Nomination or any other relevant documentation;
(b) to the extent necessary for those third parties to provide services to TrustUs in connection with the TrustUs services, the Website or to operate the TrustUs business; and
(c) as otherwise expressly permitted under this Privacy Policy or in our Terms and Conditions.
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we will not disclose or use your Personal Data without your permission, unless required or permitted by law.
TrustUs monitors system usage
TrustUs has access to and may use aggregate information such as number of associated Users, number of transactions and billing information for the purpose of billing and monitoring server and software performance as well as for other internal purposes of TrustUs.
TrustUs staff can access non-identifying and aggregated usage information and transaction volumes in order to better understand how our customers are using TrustUs so we can improve the system design and where appropriate have the system prompt users with suggestions on ways to improve their own use of the system.
All aggregated usage information is stored in a secure TrustUs data warehouse facility.
Your data is sent securely across the internet
TrustUs servers have issued security certificates so all data transferred between the Users and the TrustUs servers is encrypted.
However, the internet is not in itself a secure environment.
Users should only enter, or instruct the importation of, data to the database within a secure environment.
This means that the User's browser must support the encryption security used in connection with the TrustUs servers.
TrustUs does not store your credit card details
If you pay for TrustUs services by Credit Card, your credit card details are not stored by TrustUs and cannot be accessed by TrustUs staff.
Your credit card details are encrypted and securely stored by Direct Payment Solution to enable TrustUs to automatically bill your account on a recurring basis.

TrustUs will give you access to your data at any time
A User may request access to their Personal Data that is held by TrustUs, and TrustUs will delete it or correct it upon a User's request.
The Users data may be permanently deleted by TrustUs 90 days after the User stops paying to use TrustUs, or at the Administrators request.
Your browser stores only enough information to keep you logged in
TrustUs uses temporary cookies to keep a session open after a User logs in.
These cookies do not contain any information about the User and will automatically expire 45 minutes after the session is finished.
You can opt-out of any email communications
TrustUs sends billing information, product information, service updates and regular customer newsletters to registered Users via email.
Where appropriate email communication will contain clear and obvious instructions describing how the User can opt to be removed from the mailing list. TrustUs will immediately remove any User upon request.
You are responsible for checking the privacy policy of any third-party websites we link to.
The TrustUs website may contain links to third-party websites. TrustUs takes no responsibility for the privacy practices or content of these websites.
This policy may be updated from time to time.
TrustUs reserves the right to change this policy at any time and any amended policy will be posted on this website.
